I would rather have it over lack of charitable works. DF comes under doctrine. Of course the application by local BOEs is extremely uneven,

JWs near of losing their status a religious organization in Norway
by Festus inlast spring norweigian state refused to give public contribution to jws (religious organisations can apply that in norway and previously wtbs has been granted that).
the decision was caused because of practise of disfellowshpiping.. now there is a new twist.. 25.10.2022 authorites in norway send a letter to wtbs and told them that they have four weeks to fix that practise.
if they don't do that they will loose their status as a religiouse organisation.. intrestingly jws did not "understand" what authorites meant by that and requested more time.. how can they not understand?

Still inane. Ranks up there with tiny paint brushes.
Actually it is ink that has to be fixed with UV.

We must have the same CO. Or the same outline. Come back where you belong, if sick turn picture on and dress up, right down to polished shoes even if no one can see them. And get out door to door
We had 40 on zoom, 3 or 4 with pictures

Remember a great number of us did not own anything to sell and semi retire.
It irks me to hear the examples of business men selling out, employing contract labor ( illegally), being held up as examples.
Same for the CO bragging about his world travels while eating a meal paid by some one else.

Science News article: ‘Case closed’: 99.9% of scientists agree climate emergency caused by humans
by Disillusioned JW ina news article has the headline of " ‘case closed’: 99.9% of scientists agree climate emergency caused by humans"; see https://www.theguardian.com/environment/2021/oct/19/case-closed-999-of-scientists-agree-climate-emergency-caused-by-humans .
the article says in part the following.. 'the scientific consensus that humans are altering the climate has passed 99.9%, according to research that strengthens the case for global action at the cop26 summit in glasgow.. the degree of scientific certainty about the impact of greenhouse gases is now similar to the level of agreement on evolution and plate tectonics, the authors say, based on a survey of nearly 90,000 climate-related studies.
this means there is practically no doubt among experts that burning fossil fuels, such as oil, gas, coal, peat and trees, is heating the planet and causing more extreme weather.. a previous survey in 2013 showed 97% of studies published between 1991 and 2012 supported the idea that human activities are altering earth’s climate.. this has been updated and expanded by the study by cornell university that shows the tiny minority of sceptical voices has diminished to almost nothing as evidence mounts of the link between fossil-fuel burning and climate disruption.. the latest survey of peer-reviewed literature published from 2012 to november 2020 was conducted in two stages.

I have a vested interest in my life, which depends on gas heat, electricity, transportation. None can be replaced economically.
My old hippie ideals of a berm home, farm, etc. were never achievable even when young

I fault him. Standing on the stage with tears running talking in a quivering voice about seeing parents reappear. Going to have a big house for them all. Then do it again next week.
Sounded more revival meeting. Alter march kind of bs.

We had a CO talk touching on resurrection, death, seeing family again. The brother went into scenarios about his family, complete with tears. I question getting that emotional every time he gives this talk. Is this a throwback to born again tent meeting behavior?
We had similar a few years back at the convention; black brother acting and talking like a TV shyster.
Both times everyone ate it up. Except me
